It really depends on the breed, if it is mixed it is really hard to tell. if the dog doesn't have really long hair you should be fine. you may need to brush it often for a couple of weeks/months, after a while good nutrition should help keep the shedding to a minimum.. Excessive shedding may also be a sign of hormonal imbalances. some breeds shed excessively after giving birth or after spaying or neutering, especially if the surgery occurs when they are older, said levy.. If you have to get the dog's hair cut every once in a while, they most likely will not shed because they have hair. if you do not have to get the dog's hair cut, they most likely will shed because the have fur, not hair. hope i helped!.
